BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Many of the Afro-American Cultural Center’s programs are successful because of the tireless efforts and support from its volunteers. Volunteers assist with children’s programs, gallery tours, festivals and special events.

Volunteer Impact:
AACC Volunteers will enhance and support positive relations between Center guests/visitors by serving as greeters, host/hostesses, and administrative support for Center staff. 

Responsibilities/Duties:
1.  Receive calls, answer questions and make referrals.
2.
  Provide clerical/administrative assistance during workday.
3.
  Make calls for event reminders, membership solicitation and program participation.
4.
  Assist with event hospitality, set-up and breakdown. 

Qualifications:
Volunteers must be knowledgeable about the mission and services of the Center, and be personable and genuinely interested in the prosperity of the Center and its viability in the Charlotte community. 

Commitment Required:
Flexible, based on volunteers time constraints. At least a couple of hours/month at a one-year minimum commitment.
