Join us for a unique opportunity before the Alvin Ailey live performance Saturday matinee!
On Saturday, May 19th at 11:00 am, The Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture will host a master class taught by an Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater dancer!
Priced at $66.63 (orchestra seating) or $51.63 (mezzanine), your ticket includes admission to the master class and the Saturday matinee performance with seating in the orchestra or mezzanine in addition to a donation to the Gantt Center! The master class starts at 11:00 am ending at 12:30 pm. The matinee performance begins at 2:00 pm.

Meet The Instructor
Matthew Rushing is the instructor for the Alvin Ailey master class at The Gantt Center.
Matthew Rushing was born in Los Angeles, CA. He began his dance training with Kashmir Blake in Inglewood, CA, and later continued his training at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. He was recently named a 2010 recipient of the Dance Magazine Award. Mr. Rushing joined the Company in 1992 and became Rehearsal Director in June 2010.
